A call to accountability and duty. In Janina Birtolo’s exquisitely crafted one-woman production, Abigail Adams reflects on urging John to “Remember the Ladies” during the drafting of our nation’s laws and warning of a feminine rebellion should women be overlooked. A spirited, resourceful, and tenacious individual, Abigail not only tended to the family's children but was also entrusted with managing the farm and finances while John focused on laying the foundation for our country. While duty essentially kept them apart for nearly a decade, John and Abigail exchanged thousands of letters, through which they shared their opinions and maintained a deep romantic connection. We are the inheritors of this profound legacy, where they shared ideals that shaped the foundational doctrines of our nation.

Shaun is honored to represent a woman whose thoughts, convictions, and courage to express them were genuinely ahead of her time. She delivers this one-hour performance in costume fitting for the period, requiring just a table and a chair, and possibly a microphone depending on the room's size. An agreement with the playwright ensures that acquiring the rights is straightforward and economical.
